Summer Drawing and Watercolor
Workshops Begins July 9
This summer, we are offering both Drawing and Watercolor Workshops for adults. The Drawing Workshop, taught by Victor Honigsfeld, begins on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, and continues for eight weeks until Wednesday, August 27, 2008. The Watercolor Workshop, taught by Caryn Gerega, begins Thursday, July 10, 2008, and continues until Thursday, August 28, 2008. Both of these classes will run from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. The cost per workshop is $10 and you do not have to commit to attend all eight. You may attend as few or as many as you wish and you only pay for the workshops you attend. If you wish to attend these workshops, it is not necessary to register in advance. Just show up with your painting or drawing supplies, your enthusiasm and your imagination and get ready to have some creative fun this summer. In Caryn Gerega’s Thursday watercolor workshop, you will paint a number of subjects from real life with the goal of discovering what is real in your own style. Your art should be a reflection of who you are and what you feel. Everything you create should have your thumbprint on it and reflect your authentic self. If you have never manifested your personal style before, this workshop will help you do so. If you already have a personal style, Caryn will help you develop and refine it. Victor Honigsfeld’s Drawing Workshop is designed to be a drawing boot camp which will cover the basic elements of drawing. Here are the lesson plans for the eight weeks:Week 1 - July 9 - Drawing is abstractWorking from upside down Xeroxes, we can learn to draw by placing abstract shapes on the page.
