I stopped by there earlier today for some croissants. They were buttery and incredibly flaky. Overall, delicious!

It’s a bit far away from the center of Jackson Heights (i.e. 37th Avenue and the high 70s/low 80s). Is it worth such a long walk?

    Yes, it is.

The blocks seems to get shorter once you pass 35th Avenue, or so it may seem to me. If you’re in the high 70s, the walk is not that bad, believe me. I have bad knees and I’ve trekked it over there a few times already, always to be rewarded by the delicious croissant. Now, if only the coffee was as great as the one being served at Espresso 77. I’d be in heaven! Oh well…I guess we can’t have it all. In the meantime I can fantasize that Espresso 77 decides to purchase some croissants from Canelle so that their customers can get the best of both worlds! I wish!
