A good friend shared some of this yogurt with me last night and it was excellent. I think is was the plain, but had a nice hint of lemon.

I will certainly be checking this place out. Thanks for blogging it.

Any other new places in JH we should know about?

Definitely a nice addition to the neighborhood. I wish they had more flavors though – I am sure that will change down the road. I enjoyed the topping selections :)

I spoke with the staff at the new Yogurberry. They are awaiting another machine to combine the berry and other flavors….So far they have Green Tea which was tastey and plain/vanilla. They both have a yogurt taste and I thought very creamy! Great little store right here in JH but the colors are are very California!

Fred…no other new stores in the hood but some places of interest are the enlarged JH Health Food Store with organic veggies and fruit! Big selection and very clean! La Nueva Bakery on 37 Ave & 86 Street has great empanadas, lots of sandwiches, Tortia d’Papa (Omlette pie with potatoes) and strong coffee. Pio Pio has a gallery Y Galleria on 85 Street north of Northern Blvd. Have fun roaming through hood!

Well, berries are yummy, so I guess this is a good thing!

Is it true that Jackson Heights real estate is set for a major plunge, as much as 30 – 50%? I heard this from a top investment banker who owns in both Manhattan and Jackson Heights and Forest Hills Gardens. I fear the worst. The storm seems like it’s coming our way!

    Boone…yes berries are yummy…
Cool it with the fear factor..because we are holding strong in Jackson Heights. I wrote a new post about the Real Estate of affairs! Check it out.
IF you are talking about Commercial or full projects for new construction, maybe. The investor may have….new construction or not built yet! But some people will loose if they made bad judgments at the tail end of the wave. They may be loosing 100% if it was an expensive price. I would need to know more details about when they invested and the return on the investment.

Yeah, Boone, cool it! You are only hyping the negative side. As Michele said, Jackson Heights is only becoming more popular (in part, due to the growing draw from Park Slope folks), so it will probably hold most of its value, even in a downturn, if there even is one.

I think in spite of what the naysayers are saying, this time IS different, and New York City will remain the lone pillar of housing markets, even stronger than other hot cities, like Seattle and San Fran.

I don’t think there is any need to fear at all. We will hold steady through the storm, and probably even go up!
